Renting out points.

I know there are lots of posts about this and I have searched but not been able to find a complete answer- apologies if I’m missing it.

It’s possible that this year, I may decide to rent some points. Not sure how many but likely between 150 - 200.

I’m aware of Dave’s and their terms which seem to favour the renter.
I’ve read on here of renting via FB. I don’t do FB but if necessary could open an account purely for this purpose.
From previous questions it seems payment, via PayPal can be complicated, is this the only way?
What about bank transfer into a Monzo account say, is that possible?

Anyone got the time or inclination to put together an ‘idiots guide’

I feel going forward we may be using our points differently.

Tilly I can only comment on Dave's, initially a frustrating experience as it seemed I kept missing the requests & they were being sent out to many owners, we did end up getting all our points used over 2 bookings- in both cases I was given particular requests so unsure which way is the "normal" way!
I had hoped to get funds paid into our Suntrust but (unless I missed a box ) it's paid into Paypal in $, you of course lose out if transferring to your UK account & although I tried to send to Suntrust it became overly complicated & I gave up!
I did look at Facebook but you can't just access the page, you have to send an invite to be accepted & TBH I don't like FB!

Same as scooby do for us , I don’t do Facebook , we had a load of points to offload 1070 and did it via David’s , all gone bar 61, in the space of 5 days
I found them really easy to deal with

PayPal rate was not great but when I reconverted back into dollars and paid into our suntrust account we only lost about £70 so we were happy

This week I am going to be looking to list 150 June use year points from 2020 on Davids. Let me know if they of any help to you.

I would love to book some but I’m waiting for a MRI scan so scared in case I I have to move dates. I just lost £600 worth of Tesco points as I was supposed to be there now 😭
