Well I’m not sure if you’ve missed anything that you could fit it all in. What a shame about the return flight but you’ve made the best of it, still getting the business class flight back 👍
Can’t wait for it to start 😊

Oh what a pain, but at least you're sorted. Not gonna lie I've looked at us doing MCO - MIA - LHR on the way back to increase our luggage allowance

What about the mango pie at Yak N Yeti Cafes? X

That’s annoying!

Still bet it’s not dampened your excitement much!

Very much the final countdown now. DW has what appears to be a slight cold but has consistently tested negative so fingers crossed on that one. The Mango Pie is a good call I've seen it before and thought it looked delicious.

Cheers all for supporting, I have one final mini update to post on our our pre-travel day/anniversary evening plans (the cat being out of the bag with DW now on what we're doing). After that we're hopefully away 🙏

Final update and this one's something a bit special I've planned for our anniversary. Great Fosters is a beautiful and historic little boutique hotel which is very handy for Heathrow. I know this well having worked and lived in the area in the past, this has always been a beautiful spot hidden away near to the characterful town of St Aines (aka Staines or Staines on Thames if you are from the council).

Claimed to once be Henry VIII's Hunting Lodge

If you want something special and like historic properties I can't think of a hotel to beat this with a @20 minute drive from the airport (prob less but local traffic...)

The other treat is eating at the hotel's Tudor Room restaurant which is the fancier of the two offerings. I've only eaten there once, many years ago. It has a hot new chef now so excited to try the tasting menu which will be something like this:

At some point during this dinner we will probably receive Thursday's PCR test results so it could yet turn into very fancy room service Next message will be a simple either we're going to Florida or not!
