California tier system / Disneyland

Some positive news regarding case numbers in California today.

On the current trend they will be removing the tier system within the state allowing businesses to reopen in a more normal surrounding - mask wearing will still be present.

Disneyland has announced an advanced reservation system for California residents only to start with but will include park hopping. Certain attractions will be initially closed.

Yep, I've been hearing this on my local news today. June 15th is the projected date when restrictions will be lifted across California, though mask mandates will stay in place.

Looking good although I don’t expect “alien/foreign” visitors will get access to the parks anytime soon. Luckily my ex partner who I am still very close to lives outside LA and has a connection with Disney so says he can get a ticket for me to go with him as his plus one as he is a resident so will book tickets for August on a few days on the off chance (should I be able to actually get to California before Christmas )

I’ve already told the boys we may not be able to do Disney this time so at least they won’t be getting hopes up even if we do get to California this year.

It’s just my guess right now that if California does reopen to full capacity everywhere on June 15th, then Disneyland will drop the California residents only rule- if it isn’t dropped before then.

Looks positive. We are heading to California in October so everything's crossed that we get to go but if not then will change again. We are not going to any theme parks though just a few National parks. Just hope this is all coming to an end soon with deaths and illness from covid 🙏
