It's so lovely to see lots of happy booking threads! 2022 definitely looks more positive now, so we've bitten the bullet and made a small booking for August too.
We plan to add further dates in Sept when our DVC window opens. It's great having a countdown again. |

So happy you have booked 🙂
I really want to book after my cancelled 2020 trip, but I am trying to hold off until if becomes clearer what will happen with testing going forward... There is no way I can tolerate the throat swab test with my anxiety so until testing stops I think I am holidaying in the UK! Hopefully I will be able to go in 2022 though 🙂 |

We could possibly get 2 rooms for our offsite stay too so Georgia can have a break from us 😂 No doubt I will be asking for tips for a nice hotel within reasonable distance of both Disney and Universal soon. I think we’ve decided we want one with a nice pool area too for some rest time. We’ve found Uber and Lyft very convenient for offsite trips on our previous trips too and I think it works out cheaper than a hire car. Never used the i trolley but will look into that too. So much planning to do 😂

It is so good to see booking and planning threads again. Which resort have you booked?
I’m really expecting to change ours to September as we prefer the weather then and it will probably be easier then to avoid any clash of Georgia’s graduation ceremony, but for now I’m just pleased to see a booking in place |

Technically I have a trip booked for this summer. We check in to CBR on 31st July. We don't have any flights though so that could be a problem! I'm just waiting to see what happens if the summer trip doesn't go ahead I will likely switch to October half term. I'm hoping to get to wdw this year then next year do a west coast trip. But if this year doesn't go ahead then the lure of wdw will be strong. So it's a kind of wait and see really.

That’s why I’ve stayed with UK breaks for this year too. I really hope things will have changed by next year and the fact that we will all be fully vaccinated and, possibly getting our regular booster jabs by then, will mean that testing won’t be needed.
Although by next year it will be 2 years since we’ve travelled overseas so I would possibly just try to force myself to be brave enough to take the test for a Disney trip |
