It’s great that we have a date but still so many questions to answer. 🙈

It's not confirmed, but widely expecting to remain as the current testing requirements. See this older thread:
https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1205739 and the CDC site: cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...travelers.html Edited at 03:16 PM. |

Can’t imagine they will change the rules that have been in place for 10 months already

As above, I'm not expecting the testing rules to change. Of course, it's possible since they're reviewing the policy, but the current requirements have been in place for months.

I think it is confirmed? bbc/news/world-us-canada-58929441
“ Under new rules announced by the White House, vaccinated people who have had a negative test in the 72 hours before travelling will be allowed to enter.” |

They are just making an educated guess (as most of us on this thread are) that the current testing system will continue, because, well, there's no reason it wouldn't, and the earlier update when they announced re-opening would happen only mentioned testing changing for unvaccinated citizens, not anyone else. They've said 72 hours because their 'journalists' have wrongly interpreted the '3 day' requirement, and not properly read the CDC website.
Must say the BBCs reporting on the travel ban has in general been horrendous and badly fact checked thorughout. They've continually put things in their articles that are outright wrong or asked questions to which the answers were already known (e.g. AZ vaccine). Edited at 05:18 PM. |
