I’ve read about this too and don’t have mine in my mobile. I’m not entirely sure how to sort it but I know it takes a while. We bought resale and have owned for 12 years so we were well before the cut off. Tbh I find the whole my disney experience app really clunky since we last went I can’t see all my accommodations in my plans but can see them elsewhere, no idea how to sort the dvc card thing. I’m so busy and could do without all this faffing. I sat on a chat for them the other day for 2 hours and they closed it as they closed. Grrr

2017 - Sept Poly first trip with two toddlers!
2018 - May AKV & POR the last before school trip.
2019 - May SSR & Kidani
2022 - April Poly, SSR, WLV
2023 - POFQ & AKL

I’ve set mine up, but I don’t think I’m going to attempt to set up my mum’s card. She wouldn’t even have an idea how to access it if I did (she never uses apps on her phone) and I don’t even think she has a DVC online account.
Instead, I've registered my feedback with MS (not that it’ll make any difference). I really don’t see why physical cards can’t exist alongside digital ones for those members who can’t (or don’t want to) use a digital card.

Just an update, I waited an hour on hold to DVC, got the login details for my husband and we now both have access to our temporary membership cards and have set up mobile magic. Of course it’s still showing that we don’t have discount,which isn’t correct, don’t know how long that’s going to take to be fixed.

Hopefully there won’t be any issue using the temporary membership card to activate our DVC annual pass renewal.

I'm hardly a technophobe but what a frustrating experience that was !I had to Google what I was doing wrong! Anyway like others, we use one e-mail address, so I've got a card but DW doesn't & I also have the dreaded ND!
Just saying but maybe less bean counting & concentrate more on getting their products right!

We are here now and I find using using the online card is right pain in the bottom! Getting phone out and messing around finding it just to make a quick purchase! Showing a card was so much easier

Just catching up

What a pain! The old blue card was so easy, can't say I'm looking forward to doing this on my trip! It would be nice to think they'd improve it by then...

Just a thought, can you screenshot the barcode and just use that with a credit card payment that's not attached to the account?

As usual MS by e-mail have sort of answered one bit & completely ignored the other! So I've been told that we need to phone to get DW "card" changed (same e-mail address) & they completely ignored the Discount bit

That’s what I did in December- left my card in the room so screenshot the temp card.
