Experiences with Avis car seats

We’ve rented a car seat for a few days through Avis. Has anyone had experience doing this - are the seats in good condition? and does anyone know if the Avis employee will fit it for us? We’re used to an Isofix at home and we’ve never fit a seat with a belt before 😬

No, the employee won’t help you fit the seat, they’re kept in a shed beside the desk in the garage. The condition varies but they’re used constantly so we’ve never had a “like new” one. If the one they offer doesn’t look good just ask for another.

Most of the seats will have the latch system which you can use rather than a seat belt
It’s easy to fit uses the same connection as an isofix seat plus the top tether
Loads of videos on you tube of how to fit I’ve just put our kids seat in my hire car as going out later with a friend and her Grandaughter
