With only 20ish years left, I can’t see the value can you?

Nope but having bought BCV at $69 & $74 a point, they can keep putting the value up as much as they like IMO

These resorts have gone up for the past 3 years which shows that despite the remaining time they are still desirable resorts in great locations, you can't beat that walk into Epcot. I would also imagine the MK area resorts to be just as popular. As for VB and HH, they are almost always booked out over summer so the demand to stay there is high as well.

YT. I can't see the value to buy now. However those who have owned since the beginning have done well.

Of course 20 years sounds a long time. But we have owned at SSR for 19 years and that time has flown by.

As per our conversation earlier. Just booked Vero.

While VB has high dues, for those American's who's flexible with dates and take short vacations then VB is possibly a better option to buy than BWV or BCV, especially by resale.

You can always pick up a few nights at the BCV, BWV or any of the other DVC resorts using VB points at 1-7 months out.

Currently bookable earlier today.
3-nights 1 Aug at BCV 51-points
4-night 5 July at BWV 69-points
5-nights 16 Aug at BWV 87-points

I wouldn't expect to see a downward change until 15-years are left on the deeds and by then who know's they might even offer deed extensions.

Also bear in mind that a BWV studio with a boardwalk view cost anywhere between $717 and $1066 per night in 2022 before any discount.

Doubt it will happen Jasper, save for a potential short one. They have major issues with the OKW extension, essentially the owners didn’t take it up in large numbers, and one theory is because DVC extended the ground lease, they get it free. DVC has therefore been buying up OKW to try and convert as much as possible to extended.
They will have way too much money on the table with these resorts- rehab, increase points charts and resell= billions in profits.
But they may offer short extensions I’m not sure about that, as they currently have way too many coming to an end in 2042.

I think come 2042 or whatever it is BWV etc will be refurbished and then resold as a new resort, maybe a small discount for those that were previous owners there etc.

That's if Disney has not sold off the legacy resorts to concentrate on the new ones... who knows, maybe the parks won't be Disney owned by then! Nothing is untouchable these days.
