Best time of the year - open to suggestions
Hi all - in the past we have been to Orlando in September due to the low(er) crowds. We are two adults so want to avoid school holidays and go when it is as quiet as possible.
I would go in September again but my OH really doesn't cope with the heat well and it can take its toll after two weeks of 30 degrees plus with the humidity. So I thought I would ask you seasoned DIBBers what time of year you would recommend? I am thinking January - is this any good? Seems to be reasonable weather, what are crowds like? Thanks in advance. |

My Suggestions
Lots of good times of the year. Here are my suggestions.
1. October time when kids are at school and the Halloween decorations are up at Celebrations. 2. Early to mid December when Christmas decorations and themes are up. |

I went in early February this year - weather was great (light jackets in the morning/night), and crowds were decent. Festival of the Arts was also on at Epcot and that was great fun!
If not planning on doing a race, avoid marathon weekend in January (usually early January). Another possible time to consider might be the week after Thanksgiving to the first part of December - have heard that this is usually less crowded as schools are in session, but the Christmas decorations and atmosphere will all be up! (I'm doing the week after Thanksgiving this year - but in DL instead!) Also, Orlando weather is really unpredictable and can change within the week! I was there in March last year and it went from cold (I wore a trench) to hot within the week I was there... I also seem to recall hearing that parts of December last year were T-shirt and shorts weather?

Hubby and I are having a trip for his 40th birthday in February so it’s great to hear good weather stories. We are so used to the humidity of August lol!

Find April or early May is good as long as you miss Easter weather not to hot and usually not too crowded after Easter. We are going in November for a week which we have never been so can not comment on November yet.

I'd go early December if I could pick any time but it'll never happen due to work commitments.
I would add a caveat to that...I wouldn't pick December 2019 due to Star Wars land scheduled opening |
