Beware The Snack Police - Day 10 - Typhoon Tillys And Boma
A great day today at Typhoon Lagoon - no pics I'm afraid as we didn't take the phone with us. We went to Typhoon Tillys for lunch were we had: L & J - chicken waffle sandwich - they both loved these! N - chicken wrap and fries - he has been dreaming about this for a while so was pleased to finally get this, although I think he was secretly jealous of my lunch! Me - tuna sandwich with Lays crisps. This was lovely and fresh tasting on granary bread... I needed to add some mayo as it was a little dry but I really enjoyed it. We all had Diet Coke to drink and in the afternoon used some snack credits on ice creams. The weather was gorgeous and much fun was had in the wave pool! For tea we had an ADR at Bomas. This is our first time here and I can't believe we haven't been here before - it was delicious and I am completely stuffed now! I will post some pics of some of our plates so you can see what we ate - not sure whose plate is whose! If it had lots of meat it's probably Ns and if it has nuggets or meatballs it's probably Js,otherwise it is just a variety of what we ate! Salad and hummus to start... And some more... Some soup... And some more - think this one was the seafood gumbo which was lovely... And another - this was a spicy sausage stew which L found quite spicy, so it was quickly polished off by her dad! And now got some meat and vegetables! The beef was delicious... The nut encrusted salmon was good too, and the accompaniments were all really tasty. And there was some options for the less adventurous! Some fruit! And some more fruit... And finally puddings... this was a cherry cobbler with vanilla sauce, zebra dome, a honey soaked sponge cake and a roobois tea and red velvet cake - nom nom! A cookie, brownie and cup cake... And finally - more cobbler, an Oreo cheesecake, roobois tea and red velvet cake and a coffee tart. We all rolled out of there to go and watch the giraffes being fed on the savannah. A great end to a lovely day... N was pleased to get a Castle lager to go with his meal - he used to be able to get these from Morrisons but he hasn't seen them for a long time! Epcot tomorrow and our first character meal! Thanks for reading... |
