a little help about guest assistance?
hi all,
we are off in under two weeks... recently my father-in-law has developed a medical conditions which has resulted in a sorta hernia-type problem, and he's been told there is no way it will get sorted before we go but he is allowed to travel, the only trouble is it causes him alot of discomfort and can not either stand/walk for too long or sit still for too long, we have sorted out hiring him an electric scooter thing to resolve the issue over walking to far but my question is i've heard about 'guest assistance' mentioned before but not sure if it what it is and if he can get it? also if he gets it does that mean he que's somewhere else on his own and the rest (3 of us) que in the regular line? he dosn't have any sort of doctors note or anything but you would have to be pretty dumb not to see the swollen lump sticking out his stomach to realise something isn't right! any advice dibbers?! oh, and we are probably only going to HS, Seaworld, IOA and US... |

Most of the queues are accesilbe so you will be able to queue together.
Where that is not possible, you will automatically be directed to an alternative entrance. You don't need to take any proof, he will be on a scooter so his need will be obvious :-)

You'll find more info on Guest Assistance in the sticky thread at the top of this forum.
If his only problems are solved by having a scooter then he doesn't need to worry about getting a GAC, CMs will direct you to alternate entrances where necessary or ask him to transfer to a manual wheelchair where a line is not accessible for ECVs. Your party will be able to stay together. |
