I think it is £24 per person to book your seats.

You do pay for advance seat selection with BA unless you have frequent flyer status, (expensive) flexible tickets, have an eligible disability or are travelling with an infant (under 2).

If you are traveling with one or more children age 2-11 in the party, you will be assigned seats 3-7 days before travel, but you can't change them for free until 24 hours before travel.

Everyone except those on basic economy tickets can select seats free once online checkin opens.

BA doesn't have a name for its extra legroom seats in economy, you just book exit rows or bulkheads. These tend to be the most expensive for advance seat reservation, where available (some bulkhead seats are blocked for those with infants).

BA does not have fixed pricing for advance seat reservations, the pricing is dynamic according to demand and where in the cabin the seats are located, e.g. seats near the back in the centre section are cheapest, window sections near the front of the cabin are more expensive, and exit rows / bulkheads are most expensive.

The prices for long haul economy seat reservations on BA are generally between £20-50 per person per flight, depending on the route and seats chosen. Prices are higher still in World Traveller Plus (PE) and Club World (business class), since BA does not automatically include advance seat selection in these cabins either.

I’ve booked PE / traveller plus for the first time with BA and couldn’t believe they wanted money for seat selection 😳
Anyone been on the A380 in World traveller plus, any recommendations?

We flew home from Miami on the A380 WT+. We chose to sit upstairs. It was very quiet 👍🏻

Don't forget that you will have to pay the booking fee for each way as well if you use the service.

That’s the route we’re on. Was looking at upstairs, did you book or wait?
