West coast Florida best beach resorts
Hi, we are visiting Orlando in October for 2 weeks and then heading down to Miami for 2 nights before our return flight. In between leaving Orlando we have 2 or 3 nights that we are looking to stay in a quiet beach resort and think it makes more sense to stay on east coast so not so much traveling time ? Can anyone recommend a quiet beach resort on east coast - I think siesta keys on west coast is the type of place we are looking for and wondered if anyone knew of anything similar on east ? Or is the extra drive worth it to just go on the west coast? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated . Thanks

If you are looking at decreasing travel time then you need to stay on the East Coast.

There are many resorts to choose from on the East Coast, but personally I prefer the West Coast.
I prefer the calmer, warm water and the more laid back ambiance. I love the Don Cesar hotel at St Pete Beach. Anna Maria Island is gorgeous as are Sanibel and Captiva. From a resort such as Naples it would be straight across Alligator Alley to get to Miami, but it would be quite a lot of driving to go say Orlando Naples Miami Orlando. Have I read your post right? Sorry if I haven't!

Clearwater area on the west coast for us!
But as above east coast for less travel time. Palm beach area is very nice, also Hollywood is very quiet! |

Never been but heard palm beach is nice on East coast and might be worth a look into? If you change plans and go west coast then it's Clearwater for us all day long.
