BA from Gatwick Question
ahhhh planning again..millions of questions again.
Going in Oct next year. Will be flying out in the first week probably. I've never really paid attention before, but are there days that the gatwick flight wont operate, or will there be days of the week that are better priced than others? |

Our experience, after a few months of monitoring prices, Gla to Tampa or MCO via Gatwick, was that prices were mostly unpredictable, sometimes cheaper outside of sales than during them.
We'd also read how Tue to Thu would be best priced. Not so for us. The only real way to get the best price is to monitor daily, be flexible on outbound and inbound dates and also sign up for price alerts with search engines/search aggregators like netflights, momondo, kayak, skyscanner etc. If you're flying indirect, consider the date you return. We flew back on a Saturday meaning our connecting flight choices... on a Sunday... were extremely limited. We had a 7 hr layover, so rented a day room at the Bloc hotel for a quick nap. We'd rather have waited 3 or so hours at the gate though and gotten home sooner. |

Also if you don’t mind the drive up price the Gatwick - Fort Lauderdale flight, it flies on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. It was a lot cheaper for me.

We flew direct LGW-FLL and then direct MCO-LGW return (did stay 3 nights in Fort Lauderdale) but was cheaper than just doing MCO only + Disney.

I’ve never thought about Fort Lauderdale. Is that a new route?
We will be going through Gatwick from Glasgow probably |

If you're going from Glasgow, remember there's an option to go via Philadelphia which leaves Glasgow a little later in the moring, arrives Orlando around 6.30pm and you arrive as a domestic passenger - same routing on the way back means you arrive into Glasgow around 7am and straight home.
