Checked in without API

Interesting question.

I have just twilight checked in at Manchester with Virgin.

I haven’t done my API and no one asked for it.

Gone into my booking and it says that as it’s within 72 hours no details can be added.

So is it required?

It’s a flight only but they won’t know where I am spending our first night, so couldn’t have done it for us.

You're probably best asking Virgin.

Seems a bit strange, when I checked in at Gatwick I was ushered to the self check in and I had no option but to put our address in the us on there system .we couldn't by pass it. We didn't have an address as it was villa allocated on arrival . So the Virgin Atlantic assistant said to put any valid address in. We put the contact office address for villa allocation.

Exactly the same happened to us last month. Did twilight check in and gave no details of where we were staying etc. No problems travelling the next day, I , like you were a little worried but it was fine.
