Hope you all had a great night and enjoyed the haggis etc.

Our night was good it was the first time I've had cock a leekie soup with prunes in it. We then had haggis, neeps and patties with a creamy whiskey sauce with onions in it. For dessert we had trifle (ds 20 didn't know what it was hes never had trifle before! How that's happened I honestly don't know &#128514

There was the usual piped in and address to the haggis and then the lads and lasses speeches.

My only criticism would be that there was no atmosphere it was a bit flat. There wasn't anyone hosting or keeping things jolly. You were to be there for 6pm in true minnie style we arrived at 7pm 😂 I was home and in my Pjs watching the crown by 10pm...

Trifle is a very traditionally English thing which seems a bit odd to serve at a Burns Supper - was it not Cranachan you had?
