We used the subway, found it straightforward fairly quick, around an hour and cheap and no need to tip the driver.

Only downside not much of a view on the way.

We got a cab from the airport and the train back. We will get the train in future as it’s as so easy.

I've cancelled Transfers on our next trip as this is the most convenient way (for us).

We did the same - no dragging bags and the view was really gorgeous on the way in.

We also agree with just getting a yellow cab. Just make sure you join the queue (it’s clearly marked) and don’t accept an offer of a taxi from some random person in the arrivals hall.

We used the LIRR train, very easy - staff on hand every step of the way to point you in the right directions, very very quick. Guests at the same hotel used the transfer service, got picked up nearly 3 hours before we had to leave

Definitely a taxi - they are easy to find and are all regulated by Port Authority. You’ll be given a price by an agent by the taxi ranks and that’s the price you pay. ( $52 ) we were handed his business card and told if we paid any mire than that to contact him.
