Last July when we were staying up there my mum's car registered 37! ☀️We'd taken my daughter trampolining and I think she only managed about 10 minutes.

Aye, that's a good 'un FamG! Few years ago the UK had a tremendously hot and humid summer that ended in intense thunderstorms causing severe flooding. At over 1k above sea level our village microclimate was superb, the breeze kept our temps to 'ahhh bliss', daily sunshine, no humidity whilst the UK baked and sweated like glassblowers backsides! No storms here, but watched storms batter the NE coast from upstairs, surreal watching storms a few mile away with nothing happening here. When the fret's in it's ours, can reduce us more than 10 degrees vs 8 miles down the hill. Gave up on hanging baskets many years ago, have an almost constant breeze battering them to bits.

Right now it's sunny, 16 degree temps with a canny breezy, a clothes drying day in fresh, clean air Looking at this weeks forecast, Friday, Essex predicts 32, Durham 25, our 1k up village will perhaps see 22, perfect for us.
