Knew this was coming, we're going Sunday for a week. I'm gona have to break the news to work tomorrow, I do have the annual leave but would rather not use it for this. But I won't get paid otherwise! I'm a nurse so not had any time off since lockdown so i'm gutted that I'll be forced to use annual leave or not get paid

My partner runs a street food van too, he's got quite a few events over the next few weeks, he didn't even want a week off for DLP but I persuaded him, he'll have to take 3 off now which will be zero income for him but he still has overheads, he's only been up and running since September so entitled to nothing!

Our oldest daughter will have to have a week off high school, although she'll probably be happy with that!

This hols been booked for ages, non refundable hotel and tickets for other things that can't be cancelled now. We're going but it'll be bitter sweet... that's if they don't enforce quarantine there!

I don't know why i'm moaning, it was inevitable really! Anyone else still going ahead?

I don’t want to panic you but I would seriously try and get a refund.
There is a good chance France will impose 14 days for people coming in from the UK too.
That could mean no Disney .

Hope not for you tho!

As expected, the French Junior European Affairs Minister Beune just said on Twitter UK quarantine on arrivals from France will result to a reciprocal measure 😑

Hi there

I’ve just woken up to this news and we’re meant to be going on Monday. We are happy to quarantine when we get back however, it’s the thought of France now possibly slapping a 14 day quarantine on those arriving that’s worrying me, not sure what to do now. Already lost 2 holidays this year too 😢

They have:

"A British decision which we regret and which will lead to a measure of reciprocity, hoping for a return to normal as soon as possible"

Aw no, 2 holidays. Hope it doesn't end up another one lost

Not much we can do but cross our fingers unfortunately, no chance of a refund for the bulk of the holiday. Hope all of us due to go soon are able to! We'll know soon enough

I can quarantine no problem when we get back it’s whether the French impose quarantine on their side. I’m considering calling Disney in the morning to move it but not sure when to ☹️.
