Latest update from US hurricane center
Weather system in the Gulf now picking up, expected to be declared a tropical storm during today as sitting at 80% chance of development. Expected to bring heavy rain, winds and high seas to the gulf...one to keep an eye on once it's named.

As seen in the post above, now declared as possible tropical cyclone sixteen by the us hurricane center.
warning for life threatening storm surge of upto 5 feet above ground level from Indian Pass to Clearwater, so anyone going near there in the next few days take heed.

Latest update...
Rebekah is heading Eastward, will break up in the coming days As you'll see from the self updating post above, there's a weather system moving at the moment but this isn't expected to develop due to unfavourable conditions it will come across over the weekend. Hurricane center advising unlikely for any new development of tropical cyclones in the next week, hurricane season runs to 30th November - hopefully it'll see an uneventful end.

Whisper it...the season could be over.
historically it's rare for a named storm in November, since 2000 only 1 has come close to Florida and the vast majority have stayed out in the Atlantic. fingers crossed

A wee update from US NHC...
Currently there's an area of disorganized showers and storms in the central Atlantic sitting several hundred miles east of the northern Leeward Islands. Will head northwest in the open Atlantic with minimal chance of developing before being absorbed into another passing weather system midweek. No further development showing so far as the 2019 season draws to a close at the end of the month.
