Go to tax office
Take passport, blue badge and proof of where you are staying
Pay $15

Temporary pass given there and then that lasts for 3 months.
Hi Rachel - if you want to avoid the tax collectors office (can be long queues at times, or should I say 'line' ), full instructions for email application in post 24, placard posted to your UK address

Have a smashing holiday Rachel

Thank you. We only recieved the blue badge a few days before arriving so applying via email wasn't an option. We only had a 10 minute wait thankfully.

Hi which Tax Collectors Office did you apply to? Think I'm right in saying only Orange County Offices will do by e-mail post/now.

Hiya Toryn, did you follow the full, concise instructions at post 24 for application via George Woody at Orange County? My brother successfully applied in July via George - it used to be via Osceola but they stopped issuing a while ago.

Toryn, re-posted Orange instructions below, HTH

I asked our Lee County Deputy pal re the UK holographed badge, he spoke to their traffic dept. Their view, if the wheelchair hologram can't be seen from outside the windscreen then you risk a warning or ticket, which recently happened to a friend who was using her Canadian badge. Luckily the deputy was still there, she approached him and once her badge was confirmed he cancelled the warning. Unfortunately, with the UK disabled badge the wheelchair hologram can only be seen if one rotates the badge, not possible if locked in the car. Below are the instructions I sent my brother, apply 6 weeks afore your trip. Your Fl placard will be mailed to the UK. NOTE: in the top section of the form where it asks for Florida driving licence or ID card simply write NON-US. Brother puts his travel dates in the email text sent to George Woody. You need only complete the top 4 lines and sign, ignore all others including the section about a Dr's signature, your UK badge/pp copy is sufficient.

Below are George Woody's details plus where to email the downloaded form/necessary corresponding paperwork. Upon receipt of confirmation email ring George on 001-407-254-1039 to pay.

GEORGE A.L. WOODY, ASSISTANT MANAGER, AGENCY 11, OPERATIONS CENTER... Orange County Tax Collector Scott Randolph

Phone: 407-254-1039 Fax: 407-254-1074

email: gwoody@octaxcol.com

Greetings,

To issue a US Parking placard I will need you to complete the attached form and return with signature and travel dates. I will also need a copy of your blue badge (front and back), and your passport. The fee is $17.00 US Dollars [$15 + $2 card fee] that can be paid by credit card after processing your documents. Thank you

Downloaded the form HERE

As a Non-US citizen you only need to fill in the top section and where it asks for Florida driving licence or ID card simply write NON-US.

Email copies of the documents, await a confirmation email, then ring the above number to pay the $17 fee. A receipt will be issued, the placard will be processed and mailed to your UK home.

I did mine through email and post with Angela a month ago, she was really helpful.

That would be a shame if they've stopped doing this remotely.

My brother will be hoping not too Voicon - they holiday in Cape Coral and the queue if they nip into the office is long, such an advantage one can apply via Orange County irrespective of where they visit in Fl.

Thanks for the reply .This is probably our fifth time of applying and it’s never been more confusing .We applied on line last year to mr Woody and everything went smoothly .But my husband emailed AJ Reyes yesterday and an email came back today saying we have to apply in person at the tax office .I have emailed George Woody today to ask if that’s correct and I’m waiting for an answer .I noticed you recommend to go to “ post 24 “ .Im not the most savvy of people with computers and I do everything on an iPad so don’t know how to find post 24 so is it just the 24th post on this thread .

Thanks Toryn, yes, post 24 of this thread has instructions, I then posted again so you didn't have to search back

Would you check A J Reyes email to see if it states Osceola or Orange County Tax Office. Osceola stopped online temp Fl disabled placard application 3 years ago.
