Apparently everyone who paid via DD will receive an email confirmation prior to the refund, and looking at the CAA website it says if you haven't heard or had a refund by the 14th of Oct to then submit a claim.
I'm yet to get either an email or refund, so we will have to wait and see.

We’d paid about £500 by direct debit for next years holiday. I’ve heard nothing yet either.

Apparently people have started receiving refunds from tonight but are reporting no email so keep an eye on your bank accounts

anyone else as confused as i am, re: claiming back the deposit? so i paid everything by direct debit but the deposit was a card payment, the form is doing my head in trying to figure it out lol i’m also reluctant to claim just yet incase my automatic refund doesn’t come through, as then i’ll have to claim twice?

Agreed, its not very clear. I paid £1200 by DD and £200 by Credit Card. I've heard nothing about a DD refund (and the cynic in me says we wont either). I've filled the claim form in for the £200 and chose CC as the payment method ... didn't get any email confirmation & the page just says we aim to complete our "assessment" of your claim within the next 60 days!

That’s what I’ve done for the payments I made by debit card too. I’m also worried we aren’t going to get our automatic refund of DD payments and will end up having to claim through the claim form... it’s all a bit confusing really.
I found the claim form confusing as it asked for the amount and payment method of the LAST payment... my last payment was by DD though?! I honestly don’t know if I completed it correctly lol 😂 I’m fed up of the whole thing to be honest 😫 |
