How’s your Christmas build up going?

Barely started.. Always a mad December, working through the week and only having weekend is so not good! Need more time.

Well , we got the tree up, then found I had thrown away the lights last year... off to the range I went, and got 1000 multi coloured lights, for 7ft tree.
Way too many! Its 49.5 metres! 😂😂😂 we went round and round then decided to take them all off and take them back to the shop. (This was not great for marriage reconciliation I might add) but we did laugh eventually. I think 500 might be enough.

It’s just another day but we get so stressed about.
This year is CBA. Sorry I’m just not in a good place right now.
Just me and DH, our first Christmas as Mr and Mrs.
His children and grandchildren live in Lincoln. My children do not want any contact with me.
I’m having surgery on Monday and potentially a stay in hospital.
I used to love Christmas too 😢

Starting to feel the Christmas spirit now. Picked DD up last night from uni for the weekend home, and Bristol looked so pretty decorated for Christmas. She goes back there Sunday for her last two weeks before the Xmas break

We all watched the latest Grinch film on Sky last night which was good fun. Today we are getting the decorations down and hopefully doing the outdoor ones today. This afternoon we have a cinema trip to see Frozen 2, then tomorrow we are putting the tree and indoor decorations in before taking DD back to Bristol.

Most presents are bought and wrapped, just a few small things to get hopefully on Monday on a quick shopping trip. Food and drink all here apart from the fresh food.

The tree is going up tomorrow . My head is in overload, I love and hate this time of year and find my head doesn’t like it at all . Everyone seems to have a hospital apt on the next 2 weeks ! I’m trying to stay chilled as it’s one day . Star Wars on the 19th and panto 20th.
Anyone else daren’t open a wardrobe for fear of being crushed to death in an avalanche of goods stuffed in there ?

Oh Lisa, I am sorry, it is hard when things arent how we would like them to be, especially at christmas. I hope your surgery goes well, I am alone this Christmas so if you want a chat just pop on here!x

Everytime I head out I seem to end up in a queue a mile long, for shops or the bank. I too have everything shoved in the wardrobe, my dd is so untidy it drives me mad. Going to head out to get my mil a phone today, some people have it worse so I should be grateful x

I especially love all my memories from trips we have had, and a lovely disney star that was a secret santa dibb gift. Its beautiful.
