The only Spider-Man I have ever seen was a diminutive one in A&E... like an episode of casualty. (He was walking wounded, think his parents were just getting him checked out). Also thinking of you and Izzy. How is she?

Hi, thanks everyone for asking. We’re doing ok. Izzy is a month into the new targeted therapy and, to the amazement of her oncologist (via a video consultation) having no side effects. Her pain is much more manageable and me and DH have ‘qualified’ to administer the TPN (12 hour feed via her PICC), so don’t need nurse visits twice a day. We are trying to sit in the garden whenever the weather is nice enough and actually quite enjoy not having numerous hospital appointments each week. I know it sounds very selfish, but to some extent the lockdown has made our life a little easier. Rather than it being just our lives being on hold and Izzy feeling quite sad seeing all her friends carrying on at university, holidays and socialising on social media, now, they’re all in the same position. When she’s sad and feeling isolated, now I can say, well, so is everyone else!
I’m anxious about what will happen after the 12 weeks shielding and wonder when, if ever, it’ll feel safe to take her out and about again, but I know we’re not alone.
