Isabel - it’s a special day

Thank you so much to our special Dibb family. Your kind words made yesterday, as well as the past 10 months just a little easier to bear.

I know what an uncertain time this is for everyone, so we are especially grateful for donations made in Izzy’s name to Claire House, when many of you must be worrying for your own families and futures.

The last 2 months were particularly difficult as Isabel wasn’t able to see any extended family or friends as we were shielding. A week before when, it was apparent she was deteriorating quite quickly, her sister Eleanor began to visit again and got to spend some time together.

Due to restrictions, during her final weeks, I was devastated at the thought of either me or Paul having to choose which of us could be with her at the end, or even more unthinkable neither of us, and her be alone. Claire House and their lovely palliative nurses enabled Izzy to be able to stay at home, in her own bed, pain free. She passed very peacefully surrounded by her family and so much love, for which we will be eternally grateful.

Once again, thank you. All your kindness will be remembered and treasured. The Dibb and it’s members have been a lovely light to head to in some very dark times. Xxx
