Having heard that a dear friend had passed, my thoughts turned to all the posts about you and Izzy. I so sincerely hope that despite all the sadness your family would feel this first Christmas without her, I hope that you all enjoyed thinking and loving all the past Christmas festivities you all shared together making this a rather special Chritmas.

Thank you for thinking about us. It’s been a difficult week. The hardest perhaps was when I finished school on Friday. For 24 years, I’ve rushed home on the last day to start celebrating with my girls. Watching the children leave, so excited, holding hands with their parents was heartbreaking.

Eldest DD and our very good friends came round for dinner yesterday. There were tears, but I console myself that thinking grief only hurts so much because we loved her so much.

Again, thank you for having us in your thoughts, and much love to all Dibbers, who have been so lovely this year, but especially those who are spending their first Christmas without a loved one too, made worse by the isolating nature of the rules at the moment.
