Water Parks Refurb - Will they close again before Christmas 2020?

Hi everyone, just looking at the extended refurb times for Blizzard Beach and then Typhoon Lagoon will be closing for their refurb. I wondered, if they will close again before the end of the year? Every time we go in December (usually around 4th to 19th) one or the other is closed... quite frustrating to be fair

I am trying to do my plan, we love the water parks and especially Typhoon Lagoon... any one know?

Yes one closes end of Oct to jan every year . This extended refurb is because they are fitting more night lighting into the park so they can open longer in summer as well as the normal maintenance.

Have a look at the Dibb menu on the right hand side of the screen, on the list is "Refurbs and closures" it will be on there.

it frustrated us last year as they originally planned to refurbish typhoon lagoon first so we booked our holiday so we could go to blizzard beach but they changed them. to say we were all gutted was an understatement, so we decided to go to aquatica.

that i suppose was the last straw for me at disney, too much changing (I understand the need) but i'm done for a few years, maybe 2024 when Universal opens their new park.

yes its frustrating when a ride is closed but better that than an accident occuring
