Alamo counter

I have done olci with Alamo but will not allow me to do skip the counter. We booked through a third party but also did this last year and was able to use kiosk and then go to garage. Anyway, I have emailed Alamo twice to ask if we can skip counter. First reply said we could skip kiosk/counter and to take our printed olci with barcode. I was still not sure after reading different posts on here so emailed again yesterday and different person has said because we booked through third party we need to go to counter! Can't remember how we got round this last year. We booked through ocean Florida. Any ideas anyone? Just don't really want to go to counter and be hassled to upgrade, even though we have the full insurance package and full size car for just two of us. Hope this all makes sense.lol.

If you've already checked in online, just go to kiosk and follow instructions it's really easy and if there's a problem then go to desk. I'd ignore the last person you contacted..

I wouldnt go anywhere near the counter and you have 3 options

1. Just go straight to the garage as they dont check you have done skip the counter anyhow!

2. Hang around by the kiosk and look helpless (like I did!) and normally an Alamo lady sends you to the garage anyhow with nothing to do (happened to me)

3. Best option. Get your OLCI open in a tab on your PC. Then open another tab and Google 'Alamo bypass the counter' that will allow you to do the skip the counter process once its filled in.

As an aside no matter who you book an Alamo car with you can do skip the counter. However with some 3rd parties its a bit tetchy.

Thank you so much for both your replies. I must admit I was thinking along these lines myself. I am going to give the skip the counter one more go online and if it does not work I will go to the kiosk.
