Thrifty at Tampa

Got our hire car through these people this year and I have just completed their 'Timesaver check-in' and then nothing happened. What has this gained me it said complete this to save time at the check in, does this mean I get to skip the counter now or what. Anybody any recent experience with this?

All this does is provide the details that the rental clerk would have had to enter manually. They will still check your D/Lic and need a credit card to swipe.
Bog standard procedure really as they all offer this service.
