Having never done the DDP
hi all
can someone tell me that a child on the DDP plan can only order from a Childs menu? for two adults and one child for two weeks we would have 28 sit down meals, 28 counter service meals, 56 snacks for the adults, and then 14 sit down meals, 14 counter service meals and 28 snack credit's for the child? Thank you |

What age is your child? Children aged 10+ get the adult dining plan anyway but can order from either menu.
If they're younger than 10 then they can order from either the child or adult menu for QS meals as there no difference between the credits. At TS meals they have to order from the child's menu, but if it's a buffet they can choose from everything, not just the children's section. Snack credits are the same regardless, so they can choose what they want and aren't restricted to specific children's snacks or anything like that. I'd recommend having a read of this thread if you're new to the plans. Even the first few posts will help a lot: http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=873045

loves2plan has nailed it. It's only Table service meals that are split between adult and child, and if you are at a buffet they can choose anything from the entire buffet, If it's family style, then everyone gets the same, so its only those table service meals with a menu.

It would break down to:
28 Adult Table Service credits 14 Child Table Service credits 42 Quick Service Credits 84 Snack Credits So, as the previous posters said, the only difference is for the table service meals, where the child credits would get you a choice from the child menu, unless you upgrade that plan (the cost of the adult park ticket, instead of child, so quite minimal difference). That child could then choose to either eat off the child's menu, or the adult's. Or, it could give you more adult credits to book more ADRs, and pay cash for the much cheaper child's meal! |
