Rebooking whilst on a Cruise
Hi
We were just wondering if it is worthwhile going along to the booking desk whilst on our next cruise to book another one? Are the discounts worth it? Can you then transfer the booking to an American Travel Agent? Do they offer you On Board Credit when you book on the cruise for the next one? (I think we might just have the cruise bug now! ) Thanks. x

Yes it is worth it.
You pay a 10% deposit instead of 20%. You can transfer it to your TA and you should name them when you book it. They also give you OBC too both Disney and the TA. Make sure you do it early in your cruise, e cause if you get the dopey guy that we all had on the Med, it might not actually get booked. You can now only book 1 future cruise whilst on board, but you can book two cabins on the same cruise. If things have changed someone will be along soon to correct me. |

another reason for booking it early in the cruise is that near the end of the cruise you get a lot more people enquiring about it and there can be a queue.

Agree with what has been said but also, you get a 10% discount on the price of the cruise plus an onboard credit based on the length of the cruise. Even if you move the cruise later to a different date, you will still get the discounted cabin, discounted deposit and onboard credit.
Be sure if you are going to name a TA, you do it while you are onboard. Otherwise, if you are going to transfer it after the cruise, the TA may not offer the same amount of onboard credit for a transfer and you only have 30 days from the day you first received a price from Disney (from when they put a hold on a date for you) to complete the transfer or it will be denied. The TA will have to provide you with a transfer form. Naming them onboard, there is no transfer to be done. |
