New to the Dream - any excursions?

Hi - we are cruising on the Dream this October, never done a cruise before, let alone a Disney one! Are there any excursions you guys would recommend? Or do we just enjoy the ship and Castaway Cay?

What happens at Nassau, do we just get off the ship and look around the port?

There are some excursions you can book for Nassau such as blue lagoon and Atlantis. There are also activities you can book to do on castaway Cay. If you look under port adventures on the DCL website you will be able to find details. We didn't get off the ship in Nassau - we preferred to spend the day by the pool, and the ship was a little quieter. At Castaway Cay we rented a large float and bought a bucket and spade - DD and Daddy were more than happy. ... as was I on the sun lounger

We were onthe dream for the first time and I would recommend just enjoying the ship and castaway cay. There is so much to do and see on your first trip
