Wow. This is something I'm really interested in. Is Southampton the norm for start and end? We are in Manchester and would rather have somewhere up north.

Yes for P&O although there may be some smaller ships that go from the north east but I think they are more likely ferries than cruise ships.

We did a P & O Norwegian cruise a few years ago. Beautiful scenery and we had a great time.

You can do the fjords cruise from Newcastle if you are up north. Thomson's or Fred Olsen do then departing from North Shields. Proper cruises. Not ferries.
My mum was looking at the weekend but has booked the Baltic states instead
