Booked first Disney Dream cruise.. a couple of questions

Hi, I have a few questions if anyone wouldn't mind helping

1. Do we tip the Disney cruise line transport? If so, how much?

2. If the Disney transport after the cruise doesn't start til 10am, is there any point doing the early walk off at 7:30am? Shall we have breakfast and then get off at 9am?

Thank you

I think tips are discretionary. I think when I did it I gave $10 for two of us but wasn't really sure so would really like other people's view on this too for next time.

I believe the transport begins earlier than that! I however got off at 9 ish and the bus left almost immediately. I think the last transport is at 10am but they leave as soon as they are filled up but I'm sure someone can correct me if I'm wrong on this one!

The resort buses now leave at 9am (no earlier), so there is no point doing early walk off really.
Saying that though, the line to get of gets bigger and bigger, so I would have my luggage collected from outside my room the night before, eat at Cabanas at around 7:30, then make my way to the line for around 8:15am.

One thing to keep in mind is that there is no room for your luggage in any restaurant on debarkation morning, so either take it with you and don't go for breakfast, or let them collect it and have some food.

Hope that helps
Joa

See I knew someone would know about the buses. I felt sure we caught one of the last ones last time and just assumed they had been running for ages when we got off around 9:30ish after breakfast.

Ah okay thank you.

Is it a nightmare collecting your luggage though? I imagine it to be like the airport waiting for it all when you just want to get going :S

Having said that we aren't particularly in a rush to get anywhere, I just want to plan a morning with the least amount of faff and waiting around as possible!

Don't worry its not like an airport. The last day you get colour coded (and character) tags related to your stateroom number. These then dictate where your luggage is when you get off the ship. You get off into a large luggage hall which is basically full of cases. They line cases up by luggage label (and try to keep the cases together for each party too but sometimes they are a bit further away like two cases between them type thing). Its all out so there's no waiting around a conveyor belt like when you get off a plane.

We were really impressed with the organization of the luggage when getting off the ship. We had our case in about 2 minutes and were on our way, so much easier than messing round on the ship.
