If I remember correctly we had to pay for Fanta at Dinner as it was in cans - but we didnt for Cola, or lemonade(sprite) Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
The grown ups had wine or water at dinner.
We took refillabe insulated mugs with us and just kept them topped up from the drink station beside the pool.

Sorry for hijacking your thread - but I was wondering about soft drinks/milk that you ordered with room service - are they free?
It says in my passporter book that soft drinks/milk etc are free with dinner/lunch/brekkie but it doesnt mention room service?

Also - room service says 24hrs - has anyone actually ever ordered anything at 3am?!

As far as I'm aware (but I've only ordered tea, coffe & milk) all soft drinks are free via room service- just tip 1 or 2 $s.

No I haven't ordered at 3am, but I can't see that being a problem as there are always members of the cabin staff on duty at all hours of the night & day... its not like the whole of the ships crew goes to sleep at night... there's always someone on hand to deal with emergencies... and non emergencies.

Basically, I think that if its branded, and comes in a can or bottle, you pay, and anything else you don't - alcohol excepted of course.
However, I'm not 100% sure at dinner, as my kids don't tend to drink with meals, and we only had wine. I'm sure someone else will know though.

I am interested in knowing this also, as I believed that drinks (other than alcohol) was free with meals also.

When we did our cruise 3years ago we paid for a soda package (cant remember the price) for our DD, when you pay for the package they stick a coca-cola sticker on to the room key/card so if you wanted a soft drink you just showed your room key. There was a free drinks station on the top deck beside where the buffet is but i think its just for orange juice(no fizzy drinks) & coffee. Not sure about the restaurants, i think you had to pay for your drinks there or show them your room card with the sticker to get your free soft drink.

Think DCL may have changed things - don't remember seeing a soda package last year.

This is a drinks report from my kids re: the free issue drinks station (you'll have to judge the reliability of their report for yourself !).

Sprite
Coca cola
Diet Coca cola
Fanta
Hot / Cold Water + various sachets for making coffee, tea (various types), & hot chocolate

I was under the impression that all soft drinks were free and meal times, only alcoholic ones you had to pay for.
Like said above when ordering from room service you just had to give a tip.
