Cruising & visas?
Have just been reading a thread in chat about immigration & green forms etc. As we wont be staying in Florida our whole trip and going to 'foreign shores' on our cruise - do we need to notify immigration of this at MCO? do we need to put anything on the green forms to say we are technically leaving the country for a week?

No need to inform immigration at MCO, because you will be notifying them at Port Canaveral when you board the ship. ...and on your return, when you report to immigration at 6am on board the ship, on your last morning

Yes I seem to remember filling in a complet new form, and kept my other for leaving from MCO. That was the one thing I didn't like. Waiting to see immigration at 6am. This was in Miami though, with a 4 hour drive back to Orlando

Do they still keep your passport all the time you are on the cruise? When you go ashore you need some other form of photographic ID? DH had is driving licence, so he was ok, me and the boys had to have special ones made up by the Ship

I think I read somewhere that a photocopy of your passport is the best/most commonly used form of ID I think you need it to get off and then back on the ship at port stops. |

The kids don't need ID as such, but you do need to present your room keycard when getting on & off the ship with them, and they can only get on & off with you present as far as I recall.
