Thanks Tracy, we'll probably bring our own snorkel gear (we'll be snorkelling with manatees a few weeks beforehand) and maybe our own life vest for her as I would want her to wear one in the sea anyway. I am a bit confused about the different bits of CC, is there anything worth looking at under the water in the normal swimming area? I take it the submerged Mickey is on the snorkel trail? She is small so it is likely their life vests will be too big.

If you have your own life vest, you won't have to use theirs. They just require everyone on the snorkel trail to have a life vest on. There isn't much to see in the normal swimming area, except the fish that come into there. The submerged Mickey and everything else is on the snorkel trail. I do recommend though going early as with all the swimmers and the churned up water from the ship, the snorkel trail gets cloudy.

From what I understand, the snorkel trail is very long and it's quite far out to see the Mickey.

Personally, we didn't do any excursions or bookable activities, we just spent the day on a fabulous beach and swimming in the water. Tt's a stunning place. The kids club also operate on the beach, so you could put your youngest into the kids club for an hour whilst you snorkelled.

I might put the younger 2 in the kids club on the beach for an hour so they get their fill of sand without me having to get involved. Could have some special time with DD1 then, nice to do something 1-2-1 with each of them, but will probably decide on the day. Would be fine if not for my phobia of sand, my poor children have never been near a beach and sure they'd love it, maybe DH will make sandcastles while I wave at them from the water? He's not as bad with sand as me, I was thinking we'd stay together as a family all day at CC, but since we'll have been together 2wks by then and for another week after maybe we'll still want some space.
