fly drive do u have to take the car

Sorry if this has been asked, I've done a quick search and can't find anything.

I'm starting to look round for prices and I think we might be going with my brother in-laws family.

you cant do an online for search for bookings more than ten ( and I think we would be booking separate anyway) so I'm pricing up for each family separate, the other family don't want to drive so I would drive a 15 van,
Anyway my question is can you book a fly drive and not collect the car? as I would book the 15 seater on my booking
I remember a post ages ago where someone said virgin don't like this.

They might not like it, but they can't make you do it. Don't amend the booking, just don't pick up the car.

We often book a fly drive and ditch the car, never cancel it or anything, just don't collect it! We've always found it cheaper to book our own. Pussycat

We did that with Virgin Holidays one year. However, we did tell the rep at the airport who said she was very grateful that we had. I think it is only polite to tell them.

We've done this a few times. It's been cheaper to book the holiday with the car, not pick it up & book the car on another website. Never had a problem
