VH and Alamo OLC change needed

Hi

I have booked a car through VH with Alamo (great deal). Then completed on line check in but on reflection I should have said yes to the extra roadside recovery (flat tyre lost keys etc).

I have just spoken to VH who will see if they can try to get OLC reset.

But do you get asked or can you ask at the kiosk after picking your car?
Trying to avoid going to desk as we don't land till 20:00.

It can be done at the exit barrier.

However. I would never recommend the CDW/SLI etc Insurance packages from the UK. But the enhanced roadside assistance packages you can get from a UK broker are half the price of Alamo so well worth a look.
Quite a few on here use them for this extra

I bought excess reimbursement cover for a few years, although I never did use it and stopped purchasing. I'm with Tom, if you feel you need this cover try a search and buy it separately.

Only if you want to buy additional cover for wheel, tyre, lost keys, windscreen, underside and roof. It's personal choice, I did it for a while and some may say I was lucky, but in over 20+ years of car hire I've never encountered a problem with damage, even on the occasion when wing damage was done by an unknown person, the bloke checking the car in didn't say a word and signed me off contract.

Its a personal choice. Probably most of us on here don't get it but it includes
Lost keys, misfueling, undercarriage damage and windscreen cover.

I have hired for 40 years over there and never bought it. Plus I have been towed off the NJ turnpike, had a break down in Florida and had punctures. Never paid a penny for these issues.

Touché MrT... hence why Skip the Counter is so handy, thereby avoiding the push, push attitude from the agent for their commission - I've never bought any extras at the desk, nor an upgrade... luckily as I now only do one day hires to get from/to MCO they don't even bother with their training BS that I'll need anything and everything they offer, that said I still get in first with the 'no extras, no upgrade, no nowt, just what I've paid for'.

25 visits and never taken it out. Saved a fortune over the years😂
If you must have it buy the insurance in the UK.
I don't mean buying full insurance over here, jut the "extra"
