How likely to get a birthday cupcake?

My second question of the day!
We have an ADR on the morning if ds3 5th birthday at Chef Mickeys. Once I add the birthday to the reservation how likely are we to get the cupcake? Was thinking of ordering a cake but seems a waste as it is unlikely to be eaten and would rather order this to be delivered to the room later.At the restaurant more about the singing and candle blowing out which you can do with the cupcake.
Should I chance it and hope for a cupcake?

How do you add the birthday to the reservation? I have tried doing this and the only way I have managed to do it is to send an email via the contact page on WDW website. The only bit I could see to add info was special request re dietary info.

For my daughters birthday I popped to DS guest relations & asked them to make a note on the character dining reservation & they also gave us the birthday badges. She was pleased with the cup cake & candles , there was no where to add it online when I originally booked .

Ahhh I see. I thought I was missing something and kept going back and checking and checking when folk said they had added notes. Lol

How did you add your birthday? Did you just tell guest relation at WDW when you were there?

OH called them and added on my birthday. On the invoices now it says "Amy's 24th Birthday" lol. He tried to add it onto the Dining reservations and they said it was already on there

I got a card and a cupcake from Crystal Palace last year

I've already added it to our resort reservation- so it shows up on the invoice now, was going to phone up to add to dining reservation too. Definately will do if cupcake chance is good!
