4th july?
Hi guys
I'm back for a long trip in july 2017 ( back in Feb for a short 5 day visit for the Princess Half Marathon), but the 4th of july falls on a tuesday this year. Having never really done USA over the 4th, can anyone give me an idea if it falling on a tuesday will totally impact the sat/sun and monday before it? Do Americans tend to take long holiday weekends? Trying to decide whether to do a park on the 3rd or hibernate in doors and avoid the crowds! |

I've been in Disney for the past 10 years over July 4th and I don't think the day it falls on made any difference to the crowds. It's still very busy with big crowds but easy to manage if you plan ahead.
We now avoid the parks on the 4th and go shopping instead. We usually always watch the July 4th fireworks from the California Grill balcony as we have dinner there. Edited at 02:47 PM. |

This will be my second July 4th in America but when i was younger we just stayed at the villa so this will be the first time we do anything. Planning on going to Magic Kingdom as DH is keen to go there for independence day for the atmosphere... we know it will be heaving but will only have been there a few days so not too bothered about that.
