Las Vegas and LA
My head hurts and I’m hoping some of you expert planners might be able to help.
We have found a cruise that we want to do which leaves LA on 3 October. Now, we want to do Vegas again before the cruise so are thinking: Sunday 27 September fly to Vegas Friday 2 October fly to LA and stay overnight Saturday 3 October board Princess cruise Saturday 10 October fly home Now, our issue is we live in Scotland- closest airports Aberdeen and Edinburgh so I was looking at Manchester flights - Virgin were coming up at a decent price in the sale but we dithered and missed the boat (pardon the pun). Flights now approx £1,700 for two adults flying Vegas, Los Angeles to Aberdeen. We are happy to fly from Manchester and would probably go down the day before and stay overnight but on the way home we are trying to avoid a horrendous journey. Flying out of and into different airports not an issue as long as on the way home we can get a flight to either Edinburgh or Aberdeen so just a 90 minute journey home from there. Am I missing any obvious solutions? Also, we prefer seats of two of at all possible. Thomas Cook were always our preferred airline . |

We used to use TC from Manchester. We live in Glasgow. We also used BA and now will use them more often via London. The only downside is the seating if you want 2’s. Try and see if they use AA across from London at all as they might have the seating you want. We found this out last year, albeit we weren’t flying to Vegas. Other than that , and checking Aer Lingus, you may just need to try and get the seats up the back. Also , BA can be pretty reasonably priced.

Also look at KLM via Amsterdam as they do via Edinburgh I believe.
