Ooh, not nice! I've obviously been very lucky, will remember your wise words for future trips, thanks 😁

I always use a thin back bag, with the string straps, like a swimming bag. Fold that up, and load that along with whats in there into pockets until inside. We only carry a small sun cream, ponchos and a few waters. When the waters are done everything goes back into pockets.

August queues are generally fine - I don't remember ever waiting longer than 10 minutes.

We usually go in July and use bumbags, I would say the longest we have queued is 10mins so not too bad at all. I just factor it into the planning.

I had a bum bag last trip and had in it my phone, sunglasses and purse. I used to take everything out and roll it up and hubby put it in his pocket. I put my sunglasses on my head and held my purse and phone and we just walked straight through the no bag line ... worked perfectly for 3 weeks 😊

Sometimes we take a smallish shopping bag in my shorts pocket, along with small purse and phone etc. We carry our water bottles and ponchos (if needed), then go through no bag queue. Once through, we'll get the bag out to put the water bottles in and other bits. It's works for AK and HS in particular, when you want to get ahead!
This is genius! I have a small fold up cath x disney backpack that would easily fit in dhs pocket and just carry ponchos, water lip balm etc. Love this idea! Queued longer for bag check than most rides
