Mobile Indirect via Newark

I've just booked Heathrow-Newark-MCO and return for my Disney trip.
Has anyone else ever done this route and any comments? It was really cheap £449 return

I’ve done this route a few years ago, no problems at all. Immigration was speedy and the flight from Newark seemed really short.

We did that just a few weeks ago on Feb 10! Well, we flew from Amsterdam to Newark and then onto Orlando, but same idea. Immigration was really easy, no big queues and at the time we arrived, around 2PM locally, MUCH quieter than in MCO. We were through in no time, picked up the bags and had them dropped off again in no time. We had a 2hr 20 min layer, and it took less than an hour to go through immigration and take the monorail to the other terminal. Really pleased with all that as I'd been worried having to rush through Newark with a 3-year-old who always needs to pee at the most inconvenient times lol!
