We didn’t use the shuttle bus even once when we stayed in Santa Fe. It was raining when we checked in on our first morning, so we did go and look at the bus stop, but there was a huge queue (naturally, since it was raining). We saw the queue and turned straight back round to walk along by the river.

Even in the rain, it was such a lovely walk seeing the different hotels along the way, and it’s only 5-10 minutes until you reach Disney Village. From there, we always feel like we’re already at our destination, listening to the music and surrounded by all the Disney shops etc. We’d stayed in Cheyenne previously, and used the shuttle buses a few times, so we knew just how horrible the bus journey can be. The first time we tried the walk from Cheyenne, we never went back to the buses, even when we were in a rush to get down to the parks. (It’s pretty much the exact same walk from Santa Fe, only you start from opposite sides of the river.)

That’s a great point about the cheese. She loves cheese so I’ll keep an eye out. She’s desperate to get to Earl of Sandwich, so I’m hoping that she chooses well. We tried to get dietary info in there one time and basically it’s like pulling teeth...and I speak French! Thank you.

Thank you. She is now on crutches due to pelvic girdle pain (beginning to dread this break now!) so we will have to see if she can walk it but I’ll prepare myself and get in training for the bus!
