Like someone said before, the best thing about DDP is it’s a known cost. All there is to pay is tips.
We got caught out with tips, one of those scenarios where you know all the bits but don't put the full picture together, and kick yourselves when you realise.

We usually do 3-4 sit downs per holiday, and often QSDP. So we know we had to tip, but with just the odd one to pay every few days, the tips get swallowed into general spending, and QS dining is "pre-paid".

On normal dining plan we were still in the "pre-paid" mindset, and didn't really appreciate how tipping tens of dollars every day puts a sizeable dent in your spending. In any future dining plan calculation involving sit down, I'd factor tips. You live and learn !

I found when I went I was looking to max out the dining plan the same as I do if get a Tesco meal deal - trying to get the most expensive meal for my money and to be honest we went in 2015 and I cannot look back now and remember a single thing we had that I think "I'd love to have that again" and of course I was paying a tip on the "cash price". The convenience of walking around and having the snacks and quick service was good though but will just mean a bit more planning this time out...
