If I had known earlier I probably would have booked two separate returns.i have had some reassurances today that I won’t need to return although I should have absolute confirmation by mid March. Fingers crossed!

One of those things chances are I will pick up another large client to cover this hole the day after I cancel We could go but I am too cautious and would rather cut as much out as I can until we have filled the whole. Still going to Dubai in September though as that has been paid for in full

My understanding is that as long as your exit (on the flight from FL back to the UK) has been recorded before you attempt immigration again you should be fine.

In the "old green form" days this may have been an issue due to timing but I believe ESTA updates are pretty much immediate so you should be fine.

However I do suggest you keep all boarding passes and have them to hand when you "return" back to FL.
