We’ve just added this on for the 1st 2 nights of our stay from tomorrow.

Never found DDP cost effective before but as we’ll buy mugs & have Gali Grill brunch booked for Sunday, this does work out good value just for the 2 nights.

I’ll feed back.

I have added the Disney Flyer to the first post now that details more on this.

Hi
I'm wondering if you can help me. I booked with virgin (originally just doing universal but have now added 5 nights on to stay at Disney. Can I add this to my booking and also can my daughter add this onto her 2 night stay that was booked direct with Disney. Thanks Angie

Are you just staying for two nights and you were still able to add a dining plan? Or are you staying for longer, and you added the dining plan for just two nights? I didn’t realise either of those were possible - is this an exception for the dining plan plus or are you able to book any dining plan for shorter stays / part stays now? It’s no good to us for this year, but might be of interest for another time.

Edit: Just thought, I know it’s possible to get dining plans with a ticketless package / shorter stays through the US site / DVC booking. Is that what you’ve done, or have they changed the rules for the UK / DDP+?

So unlike DDP where its 1 QS and 1 TS this is 2 QS/TS credits.
No. All TS credits can be used either for table service OR quick service meals. Doesn't matter which plan you are on.

It says the same thing with the Deluxe Dining Plan. You can use the TS credits on the DxDDP either for TS meals or QS meals. Similarly, you can use the 1 TS credit (per night) you get with the normal Dining Plan to get a quick service meal if you want.

So, in effect, you are getting 2 TS credits per person per night on DDP+.

Or, if you want to put it another way:

Normal DDP = 1 TS/QS credit and 1 QS credit per person per night of stay
New DDP+ = 2 TS/QS credits per person per night of stay

Ours is a DVC points stay so Member Services just add it on for us, no idea about cash/package stays, sorry.

That’s still handy to know, as we’d consider DVC for a short add-on visit in the future.

I maybe missing something 😳but we do the normal DDP and we use our TS credits for QS on occasion as we don’t always want to be tied to a sit down meal or we are too full up from snacks😂😂
so. I jus can’t see the benefit as I don’t think I’d ever be able to eat 2 TS meals every day and unless you do you my as well stick to the normal one?

Is it possible to upgrade to the Dining Plan Plus for only one night of our stay? Also, because of the way the credits are shared among a family group, wouldn't we be able to purchase this for one night and use both credits for a meal for us both?
