best camera to get?

Hi guys, we are really wanting to film our first trip as a family of 4 but im not sure where to start with what camera we want...I used a gopro last time and was soooo disappointed with the sound on it when we came home and watched the footage back..
we have come across the Panasonic dmc dx80 mirrorless 4k

has anyone got any experience with this camera? or can suggest another one ?

I have a Panasonic G9 which is phenomenal. But it's not cheap, not particularly compact. But oh so worth it. And I wish I could edit my footage like this guy who has one :

A lot of the vloggers use the Canon G7X MKII - they have just released the MKIII version but personally I would stear clear of the updated version until they have sorted out the focusing problems.

Decent camera, I ordered the new one before I got my G9, but a few things put me off, so I cancelled it and went with the G9.
