What would you be claiming for if you hadn't actually booked the flights ?

The sensible advice is to carry on as you usally would. Book the flights you want / can afford and then submit your claim and hope for the best.

Nothing yet. I haven’t phoned yet, though. I’m just thinking that it’s only fair that everyone gets their original money back first before I start pestering them about my extra expenses

Sod that I phoned them today.. Confirmed what I thought...

They have to let the 45 day for the chargeback to be disputed before they can process the section 75 part of the loses. As you only get one shot at the consequential loses.

Ah fab ok thanks for that info. Is that 45 days from when the money went back into my account?

45 days from the moment the processed the payment... Could be an extra 3 to 5 days to arrive at your account.

Doesn't mean come day 45 they WILL process it... Just they can't do it before then... So we are in for a long wait..

watching with interest. I have had my refund for TC flights but when i mentioned claiming for the additional cost of rebooking, Lloyds said i would only be able to claim, for example things like if i had lost the deposit on a hotel booking or train tickets bought but now not needed.

they specifically said i could not claim for the additional cost of rebooking my holiday now with Tui?

any thoughts?
